First reading for Belarus' 2020 budget bill on 19 November

MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) – The House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus will consider the draft national budget for 2020 in the first reading on 19 November. The agenda of the session includes a total of 17 bills, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.

The session will focus on amendments to the laws on supervisory activities, changes to the law on currency regulation and currency control. “MPs will participate in all the readings of the draft law on the budget of the state non-budgetary fund of social protection of the population for 2020,” the press service added.

Amendments to the laws on local governance and self-governance, labor protection, and protection of rights of consumers of housing and public utility services will have their second reading.

Plans are in place to ratify a number of international agreements. They include the protocol on introducing amendments to the Treaty on the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union of 11 April 2017, the Belarusian-Polish intergovernmental agreement on the construction of a new road bridge over the Zapadny Bug at the border checkpoint Domachevo-Slawatycze.
