Elections 2016. CIS observer: Equal conditions for all during election campaign in Belarus

GOMEL, 11 August (BelTA) - The election campaign currently in progress in Belarus is based on the principles of equal competitive conditions, CIS observer Olga Kremskaya told reporters.

The observer noted that her goal is to give an objective comprehensive assessment of the electoral process and the registration of candidates in particular. “The monitoring showed that the commissions approached the registration of candidates carefully and seriously; the candidates enjoyed equal conditions. All requirements and requests were taken into account. It is gratifying to note that following the meetings of the election commissions, some candidates expressed words of appreciation for excellent work,” Olga Kremskaya said.

During a three-day visit to Gomel Oblast Olga Kremskaya got familiar with the work of the election committees of the city of Gomel and Buda-Koshelevo District.

She drew attention to the high level of organization of the election campaign and high awareness of the population. “The election campaign in Gomel Oblast, especially in terms of awareness, is organized at a very high level. I am confident that thanks to this approach citizens will not stay away from the important political event,” the CIS observer said.
