CSTO Permanent Council discusses plan on consultations about foreign policy, security, defense

MOSCOW, 5 April (BelTA) – An offline session of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) took place on 5 April. CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas took part in it, BelTA has learned.

In anticipation of the sessions of the CSTO charter bodies, which are supposed to take place in April-May, the CSTO Permanent Council discussed a plan on consultations of CSTO member states about matters of foreign policy, security and defense in H2 2021 – H1 2022. The council also discussed a plan on measures to celebrate the 30th anniversary since the Collective Security Treaty was signed and the 20th anniversary since the Collective Security Treaty Organization was established.

Some other documents were also discussed. Work on these plans and documents will continue during consequent sessions of the CSTO Permanent Council.
