MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the recommendation to avoid traveling to Syria, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"In connection with the sharp escalation of the military and political situation in the Syrian Arab Republic, we recommend Belarusian citizens against traveling to Syria. Belarusians, living or currently staying in Syria, are advised to immediately leave the country," the statement reads.
Belarusians are also urged to comply with the rules of personal safety, strictly follow the recommendations of the local authorities, and to stay in contact with Belarusian diplomats in Syria.
