MINSK, 15 September (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Georgia Nikolai Rogashchuk met with the Apostolic Nuncio to Georgia and Armenia, Dean of the Foreign Diplomatic Corps in Tbilisi Ante Jozić on 15 September, BelTA learned.
During the meeting, the parties highlighted the openness and mutual trust in bilateral relations and also the productive long-term cooperation across a wide range of issues.
Both parties reaffirmed commitment to continuing a constructive and trusting dialogue to further strengthen partnership in various avenues.
Ante Jozić served in the Republic of Belarus for four years, from 2020 to 2024.
The current Apostolic Nuncio to Belarus is Ignazio Ceffalia, who recently presented his credentials to the head of the Belarusian state.
The Roman Catholic Church in the Republic of Belarus is the second largest denomination by number of believers. Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Holy See were established on 11 November 1992.
