Belarusian ambassador presents credentials to Ethiopian president

MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kenya and concurrently to Ethiopia Dmitry Krasovsky presented credentials to Ethiopian President Taye Atske Selassie, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the ceremony, the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission conveyed festive greetings on the winter holidays and birthday congratulations to the Ethiopian president on behalf of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and the Belarusian citizens.

The ambassador expressed gratitude for the support provided by Ethiopia in Belarus’ obtaining the status of a BRICS partner country. The sides emphasized the friendly nature of Belarus-Ethiopia relations and commitment to deepening cooperation in all areas: political, trade, economic, educational, and cultural.

The ambassador reiterated the invitation to the Ethiopian president to pay an official visit to Belarus.
