MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the United Arab Emirates Igor Bely took part in the World Governments Summit that took place in Dubai on 3-5 February, representatives of the Belarusian diplomatic mission to the UAE told BelTA.
The embassy pointed out that this event is one of the leading international platforms in the field of public administration and sustainable development, bringing together more than 6,000 representatives of governments, international organizations, the private sector, and the expert community from around the world.
Participants of the summit discussed current global challenges, matters of innovation in public administration, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
The 2026 World Governments Summit was held in Dubai under the theme “Shaping future governments”. It was attended by more than 45 heads of state and government, over 500 ministers, and representatives of more than 150 international organizations. The summit program included about 445 sessions and speeches by over 450 speakers, including heads of state, ministers, experts, and corporate leaders. Among the participants were more than 700 heads of large companies and 87 winners of international scientific awards, including the Nobel Prize. The main topics of the summit covered five areas, including global governance and effective leadership, public welfare, economic development and strategic investments, the urban future and demographic changes, and new promising technologies.
