MINSK, 13 February (BelTA) - The government has made a decision to open an embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Sultanate of Oman. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin, BelTA learned from the government press service.
The opening of a permanent diplomatic presence of Belarus in Oman will significantly enhance the effectiveness of efforts to develop political, trade, economic, and investment ties and facilitate the practical exploration of opportunities for industrial cooperation and the joint development of new markets, the press service noted.
Furthermore, this will strengthen Belarus’ position in Oman and also allow for new inroads into African countries and Yemen.
