MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergei Lukashevich received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tanzania to Russia and concurrently to Belarus Fredrick Ibrahim Kibuta on 20 January, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed key topics on the bilateral agenda, with a focus on implementing the agreements reached during the visit of Tanzania’s Prime Minister to Belarus in July 2025. This includes trade and economic cooperation and the establishment of interstate coordination mechanisms for interaction.
The parties agreed to hold various events, exchange visits at various levels between Belarus and Tanzania in 2026, and to take measures to develop the legal framework.
The meeting confirmed the mutual commitment to long-term cooperation both in a bilateral format and on international platforms.
