MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov detailed future plans for the Belarus-Russia integration in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
Maksim Ryzhenkov noted that 28 Union State programs adopted by Belarus and Russia in 2021 and completed in 2024 became the foundation to build cooperation and develop unified standards in agriculture, industry, energy, and other sectors.
"Based on these programs, a total of 310 projects has been developed for 2024-2026. These are either projects aimed at creating a specific product or solutions to establish a base, center, enterprise, and so on. Of these, just over 100 have already been completed, which is approximately 33%. The rest are in the pipeline," the minister said.
Maksim Ryzhenkov also recalled that a strategy for scientific and technological development in the Union State has been developed until 2035. In accordance with this strategy, joint scientific research is being carried out in electric transport, space and IT technologies, and microcircuit production.
He also added that Belarus and Russia are discussing the formation of a unified brand for goods produced in both countries, the creation of a single energy market with equal conditions for economic entities, further harmonization of citizens' rights, and joint efforts to counteract unfriendly measures.
All these issues are being thoroughly examined by the High-Level Group of the Union State Council of Ministers, which is headed by Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk.
