Belarus, Azerbaijan discuss inter-parliamentary relations

MINSK, 28 July (BelTA) - Charge d'Affaires of Belarus to Azerbaijan Vladimir Chushev met with Ziyad Samadzade, head of the working group of Azerbaijani-Belarusian inter-parliamentary relations of the Milli Mejlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan on 27 July, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Baku.

“The parties discussed the state and prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation, interaction through working groups and other issues of mutual interest,” the Belarusian diplomatic mission said.

Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Azerbaijan were established on 11 June 1993. The two countries will mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2023. Over the time, the two states have established strong traditions of bilateral relations characterized by openness, trust, friendship and mutual support. One of the most important achievements is that bilateral relations have reached the level of strategic partnership.
