“Over 79 years of its independence, Vietnam has transformed from a poor country into a middle-income nation and one of the largest exporters of agricultural products in the world,” the ambassador pointed out. “Vietnam has been consistently pursuing a course of independence, multilateralism and diversification of foreign policy.”

Ambassador Nguyen Van Ngu emphasized that Vietnam is a responsible member of the international community, which contributes to maintaining peace.

“The Vietnamese people always remember the assistance of the Soviet people, including Belarusians, provided both during the war and in the peaceful period of the country's development,” the diplomat remarked. “Vietnam values the friendship with Belarus and will work to deepen it in the future.”
