MINSK, 30 November (BelTA) - Relations between Palestine and Belarus are at a good level, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Belarus Ahmed Almathbouh said during a meeting with Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko in Minsk on 30 November, BelTA has learned.
"I recently arrived in Belarus, literally 100 days have passed since I took office. I see that there are opportunities to develop bilateral cooperation in many areas: trade, culture. We have no disagreements in political terms, Belarus and Palestine always support each other in the international arena. Cooperation in economy seems especially important to us," Ambassador Ahmed Almathbouh said.
The ambassador highly appreciated Belarusian food products. "You have good quality agricultural, dairy and meat products. We are also interested in buying your tractors and fertilizers. For our part, we are ready to supply olive oil and to continue cooperation in terms of production of medicines," he stressed.
"Belarus is a very beautiful country, and Minsk is a clean and beautiful city with well-groomed and wide streets, friendly people. Most importantly, there is no racism here, as in some European countries. Absolute tolerance is palpable, which indicates one thing: Belarus has a huge and good future," Ambassador Ahmed Almathbouh added.
