On 15 June, members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, headed by Speaker of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko and Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, visited the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial and laid flowers in memory of the heroes - defenders of the fortress.
The Union State MPs also toured the national center for patriotic education of youth based in Brest Fortress.
Brest will play host to a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia on 16 June.
