Berestye Greenhouse Complex has successfully launched off-season tomato production. As part of the Agricultural Business import substitution program, the company modernized four hectares of greenhouses with supplemental lighting, for which it received an additional 8 MW of electricity. The complex first conducted a trial run with cucumbers to test the new equipment and train the team for winter operations. The primary goal, however, was tomato production. This target has been met: 1,240 tonnes of tomatoes were harvested during the off-season period from November through March.
