
The Museum of the History of the Vitebsk People's Art School is located in the building that housed, from 1918 to 1923, the Vitebsk People's Art School established on the initiative of Marc Chagall. The building is an architectural specimen of the early 20th century. The museum's exhibition is dedicated to the history and culture of Vitebsk in the 19th and 20th centuries and the works of Marc Chagall, Kazimir Malevich, El Lissitzky, and other artists.
