The memorial complex to the victims of fascism Kobylevo featuring a reconstructed mass grave, a new memorial marker, a chapel, and a stele was unveiled in the village of Pervomaysk, Rechitsa District, on 9 December, the International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime.During the Great Patriotic War, Pervomaysk was known as Kobylevo. On 14 May 1943 a punitive expedition destroyed this once-flourishing village. The initiative to reconstruct the memorial burial site in Pervomaysk and establish a memorial here was put forward by local residents.
