The Church of Saint Wenceslaus (also spelled Vatslav) in Volkovysk was founded in 1430. The church was granted the status ‘farny’ in 1511. It is noteworthy that despite the numerous fires the miraculous icon of the Mother of God remained unharmed. The stone church was built across the road from the site of its predecessors in 1848. The Church of St. Wenceslaus in Volkovysk has been included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Belarus. It is part of the new excursion route “Organ Music in the Heart of Grodno Oblast”.
