On 6 May, representatives of various confessions living in Belarus laid flowers at the Victory Monument in the run-up to the 80th anniversary of the Victory. Commissioner for Religious and Ethnic Affairs Aleksandr Rumak said that the flower ceremony would be followed by a meeting of the Advisory Interfaith Council. He recalled that representatives of more than 70 nationalities took part in the battles to liberate Belarus during the Great Patriotic War.
