The statue called Vitebsk Giant has been installed in Vitebsk. The sculpture of the local Gulliver is 3.12 meters high and is made of bronze. The statue was placed in the Mayakovsky Park near the Town Hall.
The statue was ordered by the Vitebsk City Housing and Utilities Company and created by local sculptor Ivan Kazak. The prototype is Fyodor Makhnov, the world's tallest person. However, this is not a monument to Fyodor Makhnov, rather a collective image based on a real prototype.
