MINSK, 10 February (BelTA – XINHUA) - As part of the Spring Festival (Chun Jie, the traditional Chinese Lunar New Year), an unusual “firework show” using molten iron was recently held on the riverbank in Shanghai. This alternative to traditional fireworks was invented by ancient blacksmiths: when molten iron reaches 1600°C, it is tossed into the air using wooden boards, creating a “rain of iron flowers”.
