Volume of public procurement in EAEU over $90bn in H12022

MOSCOW, 16 November (BelTA) – The volume of public procurement in the Eurasian Economic Union exceeded $90 billion in H1 2022, official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Iya Malkina said at a briefing for the press in Moscow on 16 November, BelTA has learned.

Iya Malkina recalled that the EEC keeps the Eurasian Register of Industrial Goods. Manufacturers who have been included in it have the opportunity to participate in public procurement in all countries of the union. "To date, the Eurasian register includes entries on 8,153 industrial products by 72 manufacturers from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia," she said.

"The commission regularly expands the list of commodities that can be included in the Eurasian register. Today, the terms of production have been established for such items as building materials, medical devices, vehicles, footwear, clothing and many others," Iya Malkina said.

"In H1 2022, the volume of public procurement of the EAEU countries, including with the participation of suppliers and goods from the member states, amounted to more than $90 billion," Iya Malkina added.
