MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Viktor Karankevich took part in the ceremony to open the second stage of BelAZ’s technical support center in Kuzbass, Russian Federation, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.
The solemn ceremony to open the second stage of BelAZ’s largest technical support center in Russia and the multibrand center Belarusian Vehicles took place on 3 October. The project has been implemented by B-24 Company, which is the official representative of Belarus’ mechanical engineering companies, with assistance of the oblast administration and the administration of the Belovo City District.
As much as RUB3.2 billion has been invested in the project to build the facility’s second stage, with the region getting 70 new jobs.
The key purpose of the project is to enable conditions for full cycle of repairs and maintenance of vehicles and machines made by Belarusian mechanical engineering companies in addition to setting up stable service infrastructure in the interests of enterprises located in Kuzbass (aka Russia’s Kemerovo Oblast) and neighboring territories. The center is designed to offer maintenance to over 500 BelAZ haul trucks and carry out major overhauls of over 600 equipment modules per year.
