ALGIERS, 2 December (BelTA) – Algeria could serve as another hub for advancing Belarusian goods in Africa, Belarusian Foreign Affairs Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov told journalists in Algeria on 2 December, BelTA has learned.
“Algeria could also become a potential hub for our goods for further promotion in Africa. It also hopes for our assistance in promoting Algerian products within the Eurasian Economic Union,” the minister said.
When asked whether Algeria fits into Belarus’ strategy to advance on the African continent, Maxim Ryzhenkov stated: “Absolutely. Algeria is very open to cooperation and regards us as a promising partner. There are no historical issues that would burden our relations. On the contrary, we have much in common, which provides a solid foundation for strengthening our political dialogue.”
