MINSK, 25 November (BelTA) – Business representatives of Russia’s Yaroslavl Oblast led by Deputy Chairman of the Government - Road Management and Transport Minister Roman Dushko, together with Investments and Industry Minister Aleksandr Olkhov, visited Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), BelTA learned from the company’s press service.
The guests were introduced to the MAZ production processes. During talks, the parties reviewed the progress of a contract currently being implemented, which will be completed by the end of this year.

It was also noted that Yaroslavl Oblast is interested in purchasing electric transport by MAZ. The parties outlined avenues for further cooperation, taking into account mutual interests: MAZ not only supplies passenger vehicles to the region but also purchases YaMZ (Yaroslavl Motor Plant) engines.

By the end of this year, Minsk Automobile Plant will deliver 98 units of passenger vehicles to Yaroslavl Oblast: 6 MAZ-203 city buses; 14 MAZ-257 intercity buses; 44 diesel MAZ-206 buses; and 34 eco-friendly MAZ-206 buses powered by compressed natural gas. The deliveries are part of a large-scale transport reform.

Yaroslavl Oblast is already familiar with the reliability and comfort of MAZ vehicles: in 2023, about 140 buses were supplied to the region.
