MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) - The Russian Association of Specialized Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers (Rosspetsmash Association) plans to expand cooperation with Belarusian enterprises, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich led a meeting in Gomel with a delegation from the Rosspetsmash Association. The parties discussed deepening cooperation in the mechanical engineering sector under the Union State framework. The talks provided fresh momentum for practical collaboration with Gomel enterprises, notably Gomel Casting and Normals Plant and Gomselmash. On the agenda were the expansion of industrial cooperation, the development of joint measures to protect the mechanical engineering market of the Union State, staff exchanges, and other issues of mutually beneficial cooperation.
In the Gomel Casting and Normals Plant workshops, the visiting delegation were informed about advanced technologies. Particular interest was generated by the organization of labor, computerization and robotization of production, as well as how major enterprises ensure environmental safety.
Prospects for the association’s cooperation with the Belarusian industrial giant Gomselmash were also considered. At the enterprise, the Russian partners got familiar with the stages of harvester production and the range of finished machinery. The focus was placed on production automation and the use of CNC machines, as well as on improving painting work.
