Russia's Rospotrebnadzor inspects Belarusian dairy companies

MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) – Experts of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) together with the Healthcare Ministry, the Agriculture and Food Ministry and the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus conducted an expert evaluation of Belarusian milk processing companies which supplies to Russia had been agreed upon, BelTA learned from Rospotrebnadzor's website.

These companies include Savushkin Product, Bellakt, Turov Dairy Industrial Complex, Molochny Gostinets. They are to export the following products to Russia: milk, including ultra-pasteurized milk, sterilized cream, ultra-pasteurized butter cream, fermented dairy products, semi-hard and soft cheeses, including cheeses with different fillings, baby foods.

The inspection was designed to evaluate product safety, including the safety of baby foods, at the Belarusian companies. Rospotrebnadzor's specialists noted that the Belarusian companies comply with modern requirements in terms of their technical level and automation. The experts also praised the quality and safety control over raw materials and finished products.

The Russian delegation held consultations with authorized agencies of Belarus and planned their next steps.
