Rosselkhoznadzor lifts import restrictions on two Belarusian dairies

MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) – On 7 December, Rosselkhoznadzor, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia, lifted temporary restrictions on the supply of dairy products from two Belarusian companies to Russia, BelTA has learned from the Rosselkhoznadzor website.

Restrictions were lifted on the supplies of butter, cheese, curd and curd products, whey powder of the Braslav subsidiary of Glubokoye Dairy, and also cheese of Molodechno Dairy.

Besides, Rosselkhoznadzor has expanded the list of products of OAO Milkavita eligible for the import to Russia. Starting from 7 December this company can supply its whole-milk products to Russia. Rosselkhoznadzor made the decision following the bilateral consultations held on 16 and 30 October and also taking into account the guarantees given by the Veterinary and Food Oversight Department of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

Eligible for the import are the dairy products made as from 7 December. They should be accompanied by electronic certificates of veterinary inspection.
