Retail trade in Belarus up 11.8% in January-November 2024

MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – In January-November 2024 retail trade totaled Br80.8 billion, up 11.8% as against the same period of last year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.

One-day retail sale volume per capita came at Br26.3 as against Br22.6 in the same period a year prior.

Retail outlets accounted for 95% of retail sales. In January-November 2024 they reported Br76.8 billion in retail sale volume, or up 12.8% as against January-November 2023.

In January-November 2024 wholesale turnover amounted to Br164.9 billion, or up 3% year-on-year in comparable prices.

In January-November 2024 trade by public catering outlets totaled Br5.6 billion or up 10.9% as against the same stretch a year ago.
