
MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – In January-August 2025 retail trade in Belarus totaled Br66.6 billion, up by 8.5% from the same period of last year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.
One-day retail sale volume per capita came at Br30 as against Br26.6 in the same period a year prior.
Retail outlets accounted for 95.6% of retail sales. In January-August 2025 they reported Br63.7 billion in retail sale volume, up by 9.2% as against January-August 2024.
In January-August 2025 wholesale trade amounted to Br116.4 billion, or 93.3% year-on-year in comparable prices.
In January-August 2025 trade by public catering outlets totaled Br4.8 billion or up by 5.6% as against the same stretch a year ago.
