MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolai Borisevich met with Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the State of Qatar in Belarus Meshaal Al Attiyah, the ministry's press service told BelTA.
During the meeting the diplomats reaffirmed interest in stepping up Belarus-Qatar cooperation and discussed up-to-date directions of bilateral cooperation in politics, trade, and economy.
Close attention was paid to preparing a visit of the Belarusian delegation to Qatar for consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs about political matters. Preparations for a number of routine meetings were also discussed.
Belarus and Qatar celebrate the 25th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in 2021.
