Over 230m tonnes of cargo handled by Minsk branch of Beltamozhservice over 20 years

MINSK, 20 October (BelTA) – More than 230 million tonnes of cargo has passed through the terminals of the Minsk branch of Belarus' logistics operator Beltamozhservice in 20 years, BelTA learned from the company.

The Minsk branch, the largest in Beltamozhservice, celebrates its 20th anniversary. “Over 20 years, more than 230 million tonnes of cargo has been handled by the Minsk branch. More than two million declarations of all types have been issued, hundreds of new logistics routes have been laid,” the company said.

At the beginning of its work, the branch acted as a customs broker and offered customs declaration services. Later on, trade and logistics centers were built at the intersection of two international transport corridors. In 2011, the first trade and logistics center was commissioned. It was 6,000m2 big and could accommodate about 100 vehicles, which enabled the center to handle both import and export goods. Since the beginning of this year, the center has handled over 20,000 containers coming from abroad; a dozen trains have been sent to the People's Republic of China.

In 2019, the Minsk branch of Beltamozhservice started operating in the territory of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, where it provides a range of services as a customs representative, an aviation and road carrier.

The branch also provides consultation services on foreign economic activity, prepares and handles customs clearance documents, develops optimal logistics routes, accompanies goods along the entire route with the possibility of delivering goods anywhere in the world. It has over 20,000m2 of warehouse facilities.
