No permits required to truck freight between Belarus, Moldova as of January

MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed the Transport and Communications Ministry that the former had received an official confirmation from the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the protocol on amending and expanding the Belarus-Moldova intergovernmental agreement on international road transport of 9 April 1994 had come into force, BelTA has learned.

Thus, as of January 2020 permits are not required for shipping freight between Belarus and Moldova, for shipping freight in transit via Belarus and Moldova, and for shipping freight between a place located in one country and a place located in a third country and vice versa (shipping to and from third countries). The same applies to irregular passenger transportation by bus or in transit via Belarus and Moldova.
