BREST, 5 December (BelTA) – A new company has been registered in the free economic zone Brest, representatives of the FEZ Brest administration told BelTA.
OOO GlobalMach Industry intends to implement an investment project that will allow organizing the production of multifunctional mounted equipment for tractors and special-purpose vehicles. The equipment is in demand in the housing and utilities industry, road construction and maintenance, forestry industry, and agriculture. In particular, there are plans to make mounted loaders and excavators for tractors, shovels, sweeping brushes, and mulching mowers. Over 20 jobs will be created.
The manufacturing site will be located in the eastern industrial node of Brest in rented premises located in Moskovskaya Street. The company intends to organize a complete production cycle from high-precision metal processing to final assembly and painting of products, with the integration of hydraulic systems.
Work at the site is expected to begin before the end of this year. Once the facility reaches its design output capacity, it will produce about 1,100 units by 2028, with 95% of the output planned for export.
Two resident companies were registered in the free economic zone Brest this autumn. One of them will be engaged in the production of packaging boxes for food products, in particular for mushrooms. Later on the range of products is expected to expand to include plastic household goods. The second resident company intends to set up a rolling mill for the production of reinforcement bars and hot-rolled angles. The products are intended to substitute imports.
In January-October 2025 companies residing in FEZ Brest increased their merchandise export by 6.6% as compared to the same period in 2024. The geography of shipments expanded to 56 foreign markets. New markets were explored: Norway and Thailand. Deliveries to Brazil were resumed. Companies increased export to a number of Middle Eastern countries, including to Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
The free economic zone Brest unites 77 resident companies.
