BREST, 15 March (BelTA) –A new resident company of the Brest Free Economic Zone will set up a woodworking manufacture, BelTA has learned from the Brest FEZ administration.
The Brest FEZ registered the company owned by Polish entrepreneur Adam Daszkowski. The businessman is the founder of ADPOL Sp. Z.O.O. which produces windows, doors, and other products using English technologies. The company has been operating successfully in the markets of Poland, Germany, the UK, Sweden, and other countries for more than 30 years. The preferences to foreign investors, raw materials and qualified workforce were the main reasons why the Polish businessman decided to get registered in the Brest FEZ.
According to the business plan, the company intends to invest at least ,000 into the manufacture in the next three years. The new plant will be furnished with modern high-technology equipment and will create at least 20 jobs. The manufacture is expected to open in the first half of 2019. All the products will be exported so the new resident will not create additional competition to Belarusian manufacturers, the Brest FEZ administration noted.
The company became the 76th resident company of the Brest Free Economic Zone. The resident companies represent 20 countries and employ 22,000 people. They have invested a total of $1.5 billion. In 2018, the economic entities of the FEZ exported $700 million worth of goods to 70 countries. This represents a third of the total exports of Brest Oblast.
