MTZ boosts tractor exports to Africa by over 60% in 2025

MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) increased its tractor exports to the African market by more than 60% in 2025, Aleksandr Aksenchik, Deputy Marketing Director for Commercial Operations in Distant Markets and Head of the Department for Promotion and Sales to Distant Markets at MTZ, told BelTA.

“The enterprise is actively working on supplying machinery to the African market. The key export destinations [in 2025] were Zimbabwe, Nigeria, and Egypt. In each of these countries, last year’s exports surged by 16-90% compared to 2024,” Aleksandr Aksenchik said.
According to him, the most in-demand models on the African market were the BELARUS 820 and 92S, as well as the 1025.2 and 1221T.2 in tropical configuration, based on a unified cab with a canopy frame.

Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) is one of Belarusian largest producers of agricultural machinery. It was founded on 29 May 1946. The plant designs and manufactures wheeled and caterpillar tractors, walk-behind tractors, towed and mounted implements for agricultural, construction, forestry, and municipal operations, spare parts, consumer goods, and much more.
