MOSCOW, 3 December (BelTA) – A regular videoconference session of the interagency working group in charge of monitoring export to Russia has been held under the chairmanship of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik, the embassy’s press service told BelTA.
According to the source, Belarus’ export in January-October 2025 was analyzed from the point of view of regions, economy branches, and leading enterprises. Opinions were exchanged about expectations for the year 2025 as a whole. The ambassador pointed out it is necessary to hit the assigned performance targets. He urged to put maximum efforts into addressing the shortcomings within the time left till the end of the year. Close attention was paid to negative trends in the export of industrial enterprises to Russia.
Routine work on signing direct contracts with Russian federal retail chains, participation in Russian public procurement programs, and the development of the concern’s distribution network were discussed with the management of the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom.
Aleksandr Rogozhnik instructed the leadership of the Industry Ministry to establish a system of interaction with Russian colleagues for the sake of addressing problems fast. The work of Belarusian export support tools on the Russian market was discussed as well as the efficiency of interaction of executives with assigned regions, a strategy on developing multibrand sales and service centers for Belarusian machines, vehicles, and equipment, the stock in storage of distribution network entities. The ambassador drew attention to the need to timely respond to changes in manufacturing localization criteria in order to operate on the Russian market. The issues raised during a recent visit of Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi to Russia’s Stavropol Territory and Rostov Oblast were also discussed in detail, including those concerning the participation of Belarusian enterprises in tenders for buying passenger vehicles.
Matters concerning sales of tire products, the operation of the concern’s distribution network were discussed with the management of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim in detail. The volume and reasons behind the emergence of overdue accounts receivable in trade with Russia were discussed as a separate matter. Concrete measures and the deadlines for fixing the problem were sketched out with the leadership of the oblast administrations and the relevant ministries.
During the videoconference session the Agriculture and Food Ministry and the Belgospishcheprom concern were instructed to continue working hard to sign direct delivery contracts with Russia’s largest federal retail chains. At the end of the year Aleksandr Rogozhnik will host a separate conference to discuss the matter with top officials of the economy branch and of key exporter enterprises, representatives of the Belarusian embassy in the Russian Federation added.
