MINSK, 14 October (BelTA) – The key factor driving the development of the national industrial complex is the rising share of innovative components in the products that Belarusian companies make. Belarusian Deputy Industry Minister Dmitry Kharitonchik made the statement during the opening ceremony of the international industrial online expo TeMEx, BelTA has learned.
The official said: “In its strategic task Belarus' industrial complex sees the growth of the innovative component of the manufactured products as the key backbone factor of development. This is why this sector is a priority one for us in the government policy for the next few years. I am convinced that the online expo TeMEx will make its own contribution to stronger international economic ties of our enterprises and will foster the invigoration of scientific and technical cooperation.”
Dmitry Kharitonchik also stressed that it is an important event in the life of representatives of business circles, industrial circles, and scientific circles of Belarus. “In this complicated year from the epidemiological point of view it is the first time a dialogue between representatives of industrial cooperations, scientific circles, banking structures and associations of small and medium businesses has been organized in a new, virtual format. This expo is the largest venue to demonstrate the latest accomplishments in the creation of energy-effective technologies and science-intensive products, which are offered by Belarusian manufacturers and foreign ones. The expo is designed to give a serious impulse to further efforts to bolster the competitive ability of Belarusian organizations on foreign markets and the domestic one. It will also offer an additional stimulus for the innovation-driven development of the economy. The expo will contribute to the development of international manufacturing cooperation and to higher investments in our country,” the official believes.
Organized under the aegis of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) with assistance of the Industry Ministry, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, sectoral government agencies and diplomatic missions of Belarus abroad, the international industrial online expo TeMEx will last through 14 January 2021. Industry ministries, scientific organizations, chambers of commerce and industry, and business unions of a number of countries provide support to the expo.
