EAEU countries to coordinate export regulation measures

CHOLPON ATA, 19 August (BelTA) – Countries of the Eurasian Economic Union intend to coordinate the adoption of measures meant to regulate export, BelTA learned from Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aleksandr Guryanov on 19 August.

The official said: “Matters concerning the operation of our common market are also on the agenda now. Participants of the previous session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council decided to try to reconcile approaches to export regulation. We agreed and singled out a number of positions, which could use similar approaches in order to satisfy the domestic market on the one hand, including food, and control the export of raw materials and materials, which are necessary for the development of the internal economy of the Eurasian Economic Union, on the other hand. The approach was approved. We will try to take measures to regulate export in a coordinated manner soon.”

Participants of the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council are also discussing matters of insurance. “Today every Eurasian Economic Union member state has its own institutions for insuring foreign trade operations. We've agreed that our insurance companies will cooperate. We may reach a level when a united reinsurance company is established to help realize foreign trade contracts of Eurasian Economic Union exporters and importers. In other words, by pooling financial and insurance services we will be able to provide more substantial support for foreign trade,” the official noted.
