Dates and theme set for 2026 Eurasian Economic Forum

MOSCOW, 3 February (BelTA) - The 2026 Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana will focus on digitalization and the economy of trust, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

“The first meeting of the Program Committee for the Eurasian Economic Forum (EEF 2026) was held at the headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Commission, chaired by EEC Board Member (Minister) for Economy and Financial Policy Bakhyt Sultanov. Key parameters and the theme of the main business event for the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union have been determined,” the press service noted.

The forum will take place on 28-29 May 2026, at the Astana Congress Center (EXPO business complex) and will coincide with a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. The event will be held within the framework of the Republic of Kazakhstan's EAEU presidency in 2026.

“The priorities of Kazakhstan's presidency, outlined by Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his address to the heads of state of the Eurasian ‘five’, formed the basis for the concept of EEF 2026. 'Digital Transformation and the Economy of Trust: Challenges of the New Era is the main theme of the upcoming event,” the EEC stated.

The preliminary architecture of the EEF 2026 business program has been formed. It includes over 30 events, grouped into 6 thematic blocks: digital transformation; quality of the EAEU internal market; Eurasian connectivity; technology and cooperation; side events of the forum; and EAEU+.
The forum will highlight practical business matters with a dedicated exhibition fair and a rich business program aimed at creating specific tools for company development.

“Lots of organizational work is ahead. Our goal is to make this year's forum a truly effective and beneficial platform for all member states and, first and foremost, for business. We are creating the main event of the year for closing deals, finding reliable partners, and shaping a new digital agenda for Eurasian economic integration,” Chairman of the EEF 2026 Program Committee Bakhyt Sultanov said.
