MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Every ruble allocated by the state budget must produce concrete results. Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Tatiana Brantsevich made the statement at a session of the interagency commission on state programs, the Economy Ministry press service told BelTA.
Participants of the session discussed proposals on adjusting the government programs “Agrarian business” and “Energy saving”. According to Tatiana Brantsevich, the Economy Ministry insists on unconditional fulfillment of approved steps and achievement of performance indicators. It is inadmissible to adjust the goals set by the programs to match actual results.
The official went on saying: “Corrections may be introduced only if they provide for a more significant economic or social effect for the development of territories. For instance, by means of making high-demand import substitutes, by creating new highly paid jobs, by introducing promising R&D products and so on. The budget lever of government programs can be and should be used to realize promising investment projects of importance of economy branches, including with regard to the head of state's instructions to create at least one major project in every district.”
