MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) will strengthen cooperation with export support centers of the Far Eastern Federal District of Russia, BelTA was told in the BUCE press service.
In order to increase volumes and expand the range of goods traded between Belarus and the district, BUCE plans closer interaction with regional export support centers. Priority areas of joint work include holding presentations and training events, organizing business missions, and providing assistance and consultations on participation in exchange trading at BUCE. The agreement was reached following an online conference organized by the Russian trade mission in Belarus.
Currently, 9 of the 11 regions of the Far Eastern Federal District are represented on BUCE. This year, the most active trading participants have been enterprises from Amur Oblast, Primorsky Territory, Khabarovsk Territory, and Kamchatka Territory. In January-October 2025, the total value of exchange contracts concluded by participants from these regions reached $11 million, which was 4.5 times higher than in the same period of 2024.
So far, Belarusian exports have accounted for all trade turnover. Shipments to the Far East have included butter, powdered milk, dried whey, powdered cream, semi‑finished beef products, and sawn softwood lumber.
According to participants of the online conference, the absence of imports from the district is holding back the development of bilateral exchange trade with Belarus. Therefore, one of the key tasks to be addressed with the support of export centers will be attracting Far Eastern producers to BUCE. In this regard, export support centers of Kamchatka Territory and Khabarovsk Territory expressed readiness to join efforts with the exchange. With their extensive business networks, they can help inform small and medium-sized enterprises about opportunities on the Belarusian trading platform.
As of 14 November, BUCE accredited 31 companies from the Far Eastern Federal District, including 8 new ones since the beginning of the year.
