Broad money supply in Belarus 0.45% down in March

MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – As of 1 April 2021 the broad money supply in Belarus amounted to Br50.896 billion, 0.45% down from 1 March, BelTA learned from the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB). Broad money supply includes cash in circulation and bank accounts of individuals and corporations.

Cash in circulation dropped by 1.67% to Br4.14 billion in March.

Transferable deposits went down by 4.79% to Br5.536 billion. Transferable deposits of individuals dropped by 15.92% to Br2.674 billion as of 1 April. Deposits of companies went up by 7.95% to Br2.862 billion.

As of 1 April the money supply in national terms amounted to Br19.068 billion, 0.949% down in March.

The volume of national currency securities issued by banks (outside bank circulation) dropped by 9.13% in March to Br1.442 billion.

The ruble money supply amounted to Br20.510 billion as of 1 April, 1.57% down from 1 March.

The volume of foreign currency deposits rose by 0.437% to Br28.810 billion.
