Bellegprom, Sistema Moda Italia discuss prospects for cooperation in 2019

MINSK, 11 July (BelTA) - The Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom and Sistema Moda Italia (Italian Textile and Fashion Federation) discussed the prospects for cooperation in 2019, BelTA learned from the Bellegprom press service.

“A Belarusian delegation led by Bellegprom's head Nikolai Yefimchik is attending Milano Unica, the Italian Textiles and Accessories Trade Show. The delegation held negotiations with Sistema Moda Italia, the co-organizers of the trade show, to discuss the prospects for cooperation in 2019. The Belarusian delegation is set to hold talks with a number of professional textiles and fashion associations of Italy,” the press service noted.

The Belarusian delegation is composed of the heads of the Orsha Linen Mill, Kamvol and Sukno textile producers.

Milano Unica is the largest fair of textiles and accessories, which was usually held in September, close to the Milan Women's Fashion Week (Milano Moda Donna). “Last year, the organizers decided to hold an exhibition much earlier, in July. The decision proved right as it led to a significant uptick in the number of exhibitors and a two-time increase in the time buyers spend visiting the trade show,” the press service said.

Milano Unica is one of the most important events in the world of textiles. It showcases the largest suppliers of fabrics for global brands, and sets the trend for the next six months in the world of fabrics. Italy and France are the main participants.
