Belarusian Vityas's export up over 3.5 times in 2019

VITEBSK, 18 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian TV set maker Vityas increased export by more than 3.5 times in 2019, BelTA learned from the company.

The company has been has been doing quite well in foreign markets for the third year in a row. During this period the annual export growth has not gone below 200%.

The positive export dynamics is mainly due to the increase in the production of TV sets. Their share exceeded 85% of the total exports in 2019. During this period, the company produced about 150,000 TV sets, which was 10 times more than a year earlier. The expansion of the production program was thanks to the continued popularity of the Belarusian brand in the Russian market, including smart TV sets. Vityas held about 3% of the Russian TV market in 2019.

Among the most important export items are plastic products, in particular, containers for cheese ripening. The company has maintained the sales volumes of this product in the EU, and also tapped into the Ukrainian market. Demand for household appliances and medical products of the company is not decreasing in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.

The Vitebsk Television Factory was founded in 1976. In 2010, the company was reorganized, with the state holding a 100% share in the statutory fund. Today, Vityas is a multi-field manufacturer, with 26 lines of business, including the production of television and household appliances, medical equipment, electric charging stations and other high-tech products. The company provides a wide range of production services. In 2019, the company posted a net profit. The production growth rate, according to the index of the physical volume, made up about 150%. The average salary rose by approximately 20%. The company employs about 900 professionals.
