GOMEL, 11 March (BelTA) – Belarusian specialists are busy drilling the fifth borehole in the Machukhsokoye gas condensate field in Ukraine, the press service of the Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft told BelTA.
Drill crew No.2 of the company OOO Service Oil is operating on site. The specialists are using a drilling rig made by the German company Bentec.
Within a short period of time the specialists assembled the drilling equipment and erected the drill tower into its vertical designed position. The main parts of the drilling rig were also assembled, including the diesel generators, which power the drilling rig and the residential quarters.
As of the morning on 11 March the rig had drilled nearly 1,500m of subsurface rock. A string of pipes 473mm in diameter had been inserted. The drilling process, which began on 1 March, proceeds well.
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction in Belarus and a number of other countries.
