MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) – Belarusian Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Avramenko outlined railway operation priorities at a conference held to discuss the work of the Minsk branch of the enterprise Belarusian Railways, BelTA has learned.
Social and economic development of the enterprise so far this year and the organization of freight transportation to China were on the agenda. According to Aleksei Avramenko, the railway should focus on freight transportation and financial stability. The improvement of existing approaches and the development of new strategic and effective solutions is an important area of work. “It is necessary to continue developing and creating new routes and services taking into account all the available capabilities,” the minister noted.
During the meeting the minister urged to improve effectiveness and focus on freight shipping as much as possible.
Aleksei Avramenko also emphasized that the main social and economic indicators of the year will have to be secured.
