
MINSK, 19 July (BelTA) – Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) intends to start making steel castings using gasifiable patterns, BelTA learned from Vladislav Dashin, Acting Deputy Technology Director for Preparing Metallurgical Production, Deputy Chief Metallurgist at OAO MTZ.
The MTZ press service quoted Vladislav Dashin as saying: “It is a promising technology that will enable the production of high-precision steel castings with complicated configurations and will reduce the costs involved in preparing experimental and batch production of tractor equipment.”
The new technology will be introduced in the MTZ’s steel precision molding shop. A mechanized equipment complex has already been bought. The section is supposed to be commissioned in Q1 2026.
