Belarusian MFA hosts event for business on cooperation with Africa

MINSK, 15 June (BelTA) - The National Center for Marketing hosted an event for business to discuss cooperation and the search for partners in Africa, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Center for Marketing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

Opportunities and challenges of doing business in Africa were in the spotlight of a videoconference organized by the National Center for Marketing with the participation of the ambassadors of Belarus in Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.

The purpose of the event was to equip Belarusian manufacturers with useful information about the opportunities and challenges of doing business in the African market and in each country, to exchange views on interaction with African partners, Director of the National Center for Marketing Nikolai Borisevich noted.

Belarusian producers received a great amount of information and recommendations on the practical aspects of promoting their goods to the African continent, Belarus' most promising commodities in Africa, cooperation and search for reliable partners, the terms for access of Belarusian goods to the African market, logistics and settlement systems, and the importance of participation in exhibition events in African countries.

"Work on the African market requires systemic efforts. Before entering Belarusian producers must do their homework. In turn, being one of the main agents of foreign economic activity in Belarus, the center assists in entering new markets. In particular, we are ready to help domestic manufacturers with the search for partners abroad. It will be useful for companies to get acquainted with the country guide books prepared by the center with the assistance of Belarusian embassies," the National Center for Marketing noted.

The center will continue organizing events on opportunities and challenges of doing business in Africa.
