Belarusian government approves science and technology programs for 2026-2030

MINSK, 11 December (BelTA) - The Belarusian government has approved the lists of state and regional science and technology programs for 2026-2030. The corresponding resolution has been signed, BelTA learned from the press service of the government.

The lists were compiled in accordance with the priority areas of activities in science, technology, and innovations for 2026-2030 and the instruction of the head of state to increase the practical orientation of science. The lists include 20 state science and technology programs and six regional science and technology programs.

To ensure the effective commercialization of the results of research, experimental design, and technological work, the programs have been formed with the maximum involvement of industry regulators as customers (17 out of the 20 state science and technology programs will be executed under industry-specific orders). The funding (including from the nation and local budgets) and also the state customers and the lead executing organizations have been determined for each program.

"The state and regional science and technology programs are expected to contribute to the technological level and competitiveness of domestic products (including mechanical engineering, robotics, medicine, biotechnology, and others), to increase the innovative activity of industries and regions, to ensure the development and assimilation of advanced domestic technologies into the real sector of the economy, military technology and other sectors and to create new knowledge-intensive and high-tech manufactures,” the press service noted.
